CAREER GUIDANCE

Education and Career Guidance is about equipping students with the necessary knowledge, skills, and values to make the right decisions at each stage of their education for a successful transition from school to further education or work. Career guidance helps students to select the right kind of job oriented courses which will help them to take their career in the right direction.

Career guidance is a journey on which people develop to make mature and informed decisions. Students require career guidance so that we can analyze our aptitude, values, and interests and map it with the career goals and aspirations. Career guidance gives ideas about choices we would like to make about the career and education. Most often, all emphasis goes to only academic performances, and students do not get a chance to explore themselves and know their skills, interests, personality that suites specific career selection. Our Career counselors are fully equipped to help you.

GROWTH COUNSELING AND EQ TEST

Growth Counseling with EQ  and IQ  tests

In student counseling, both IQ and EQ tests have significance in the process of career guidance and personality development.  Emotional Intelligence, or emotional quotient (EQ), is defined as an individual's ability to identify, evaluate, control, and express emotions.  IQ, or intelligence quotient, is score derived from one of several standardized tests designed to assess an individual's intelligence.

EQ  refers to a person's ability to understand his/her emotion along with the other person's emotions, whereas IQ stands for Intelligence. Emotional intelligence determines our ability to manage our feelings and relationships. Good social skills are associated with high EQ levels. ... EQ is slightly more important than IQ because it develops one's ability to judge and react to people around them. Chronic and intense stress has negative effects on intelligence. According to emotional intelligence, or EQ, success is strongly influenced by personal qualities such as perseverance, self-control and skill in getting along with others.  Workers with high EQ are better able to work in teams, adjust to change and be flexible.
